Your viewing is your business

Cutter does not send your viewing history, Favorites, provider credentials or media library to us. We do not use advertising, analytics or automatic crash-reporting services in the app. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Purchases through your app store

This alpha does not process purchases. For the planned paid unlock, payment will be handled by the app store you use, under that store’s privacy policy. Cutter will use only the purchase confirmation needed to unlock or restore access. We will not receive your payment-card details through Cutter. Before purchases or device-limit enforcement launch, this notice will be updated to describe the actual verification and retention arrangements. No billing or device-registration service is active in this alpha.

Information kept for you

Cutter keeps source settings, encrypted credentials, cached guide/catalog data, Favorites, viewing progress, reminders and preferences on your device so the app can work. Recordings, extended-pause data and exported backups use the storage you select. This is not a Cutter-hosted cloud library. Remove sources or clear app data to remove local setup; clearing data cannot delete separately saved recordings or exported copies. Manage those files in your selected storage.

Connections needed to use your sources

Your device connects directly to the IPTV providers, guide/artwork hosts and media servers you configure or that your sources reference. Those services receive the connection information and any source credentials required to fulfill your requests; they can see your IP address and requested content. Their privacy practices are separate from Cutter’s. HTTP sources do not encrypt information in transit.

Metadata, artwork and trailers

My Media enrichment can send parsed titles, years or episode details to TVmaze, Wikidata, Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. If you configure TMDB, requests use your TMDB key or token. Artwork requests go to the relevant image host. Choosing Watch trailer opens YouTube with the trailer or a title-based search. These services can receive your IP address and lookup details and apply their own policies. This traffic goes to those services, not a Cutter analytics service.

Updates

Development builds contact the configured update server to check for releases and download updates. Like other network services, that server receives connection information such as your IP address and may retain access logs. This is not viewing analytics. Google Play builds use Google Play for updates and do not contact the development update server.

Troubleshooting is your choice

Cutter keeps up to 64 numeric playback-error entries in memory, not an automatically uploaded log. They disappear when the process ends or you clear them. You can preview a troubleshooting report containing the app version, Android version, device make/model, layout type and recent numeric errors. It excludes raw logs, provider URLs, passwords, API keys, unique device identifiers and watched titles. Save or share it only if you choose. A destination you select, including cloud storage or another app, may handle the file under its own policy. If you send us a report or contact support, we receive the information you choose to send; do not include credentials or backups. Website/community accounts and messages are separate from ordinary app use.

Backups contain sensitive account information

Backups are encrypted but portable and have no user password. Anyone with a compatible copy of Cutter and the backup may be able to restore the account information. Keep backups private; never post them publicly or attach them to a support report.

Changes and questions

We will update this notice when the app’s data handling changes. This notice describes the app, not third-party services or the Cutter community website. For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent to DorkGames, contact support@cutteriptv.com. General help is available at cutteriptv.com/help. Do not send provider credentials or backup files.
